The late Norman Grimshaw formed the original Vita company, Vitafoam Limited in Middleton, England
The first foreign company was founded, Perman-Air in Zimbabwe.
British Vita Ltd was founded and became the parent company.
Vita was listed on the stock exchange.
The company was re-registered as British Vita Plc.
Vita began to produce Thermoplastic Elastomers at their Vitacom (UK) site.
Continuing growth in demand for TPE materials led to the establishment of Vita Thermoplastic Polymers (VTP) as a separately managed business, better able to serve the demands of the company’s expanding TPE customer-base

Acquisition of the Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) business of Valerio Franceschetti Elastomeri (VFE) based in Italy, the company became known as VTC Franceschetti Elastomeri and continues to develop advanced TPE compounds for sports equipment market.
